This year, Francesca Albanese and Lex Takkenberg, former chief of ethics of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), have published an updated edition of "Palestinian Refugees in International Law". The pioneering book on Palestinian refugees and the role of UNRWA is a key reference text for anyone desiring a better understanding of the Palestinian refugee question and its unresolved status. It contains crucial and innovative policy recommendations regarding the future of Palestinian refugees and UNRWA as an institution.
Before the authors of the books are going to present the key findings of the new edition, an expert presentation on the history, the legal and de facto situation of Palestinian refugees and an introduction to UNRWA's current challenges will help to reach a common ground of knowledge. With Rania Muhareb, a Palestinian researcher will comment on each input. Also, there will be space for questions and comments by the audience.
