Aus Alsharq und LIQA wird dis:orient!

Vor Monaten haben wir es angekündigt, nun ist es soweit: Die Vereine Alsharq und LIQA schließen sich zusammen.

Auch unser Name wird sich nun ändern. Ab Mai heißen wir nun offiziell: dis:orient.

Nach 14 Jahren Journalismus und Veranstaltungen unter dem Namen Alsharq und acht Jahren Begegnungsreisen unter dem Namen LIQA wollen wir nun ein neues Kapitel aufschlagen.

dis:orient soll Themen und Perspektiven Raum verschaffen, die es in der Regel nicht in die großen Schlagzeilen schaffen.

Mit unserem Online-Magazin liefern wir euch auch weiterhin Essays, Analysen und Meinungen zu Westasien, Nordafrika und der Welt.

Unsere Konferenzen, Workshops, Vorträge und Screenings werden weiterhin Raum für Vernetzung und Austausch schaffen.

Feiert den Launch von dis:orient mit uns! Mit dabei sind der libanesisch-britische Satiriker Karl reMarks, das queer-feministische DJ-Duo Hoe_mies und Xanax Attax.

Alsharq and LIQA are now dis:orient!

Months ago we made the announcement, now it is official: Alsharq and LIQA are joining forces.

This also means we will change our name. From May onwards, we are called dis:orient.

After 14 years of journalism and events under the name of Alsharq and eight years of workshop tours under the name of LIQA, we now want to open a new chapter.

dis:orient aims to create space for topics and perspectives that usually do not make it into the big headlines.

Our online magazine will continue to provide essays, analyses and opinions on West Asia, North Africa, and the world.

Our conferences, workshops, talks and screenings will continue to create space for networking and exchange.
