Adverts by major Tunisian companies play with humor and stereotypes. Najla Mosbehi has analysed how three such advertisements are challenging hegemonic gender roles.
Najla Mosbehi holds a doctorate in English and is a linguist. As a MECAM fellow, she is currently investigating how gender roles are represented and reinforced through linguistic strategies. Her research focuses on media and film studies, multilingualism, applied linguistics and critical discourse analysis.
